College of Applied Studies student works on a project.

June 20, 2018 -- The College of Education at Wichita State University has changed its name to the College of Applied Studies. The change was made to better reflect the broad range of educational and applied learning offerings the college provides.

June 15, 2018 -- Wichita State grad's experiences take her around the world.

May 16, 2018 - Wichita oil producer Wayne Woolsey and his wife, Kay, have committed $10 million to build a new home for the WSU's Barton School of Business. The couple also will donate $2 million to the WSU Geology Department.

April 11, 2018--Wichita State University student -- and Wichita native -- Casey Ratzlaff has become the No. 1 wheelchair tennis player in the United States.

Nov. 8, 2017 -- Jocelyn Devilliers was a member of the Wichita State men's tennis team for four years, and has been playing the sport since he was 4 years old. This past summer, he had the opportunity to use his talent alongside professional players at the U.S. Open.

April 7, 2017 - President John Bardo said that Wichita State University has accepted today's invitation from Commissioner Mike Aresco to join the American Athletic Conference, known as “The American.” The new affiliation begins July 1, 2017.
